Amanda Rivera-Begeman, DO

Anatomic and Clinical Pathology - Placental Pathology

Dr. Rivera-Begeman graduated from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in the Department of Pathology in Dallas. Following residency, Dr. Rivera-Begeman completed a fellowship in Pediatric Pathology at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. She is a seasoned, board-certified pathologist in anatomic, clinical, and pediatric pathology with over 15 years of experience and a special interest in perinatal/placental pathology. Prior to her service with Physicians Laboratory, she served as Director of Placental Pathology Services and Director of Autopsy Pathology Serves for Clinical Pathology Associates in Austin, TX. Since 2018, Dr. Rivera-Begeman has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School with involvement in teaching and curriculum development for medical student education and several residency programs.
