Breast Pathology
Physicians Laboratory has South Dakota's only fellowship-trained breast pathologist.
All our pathologists work closely with the breast surgeons, radiologists, and oncologists to offer reliable diagnoses with a rapid turn-around time. Estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and Her2neu (Her2) are read using the assistance of computer software to give a more accurate and precise diagnosis.
Physicians Laboratory pathologists are involved in multiple weekly interdisciplinary breast conferences. They provide consultative review of breast cases from the most common forms of breast cancer to the most difficult and unusual cases.
